Why I Recommend It
I recommend the Ubiquiti Siren for its 110 db siren with emergency led lighting, battery or dc input. Compared with Siren PoE, which is the better fit when you already have Ethernet and want to avoid battery or DC planning, this is the model I would pick when its strengths line up with the site.
At around $109, Siren is worthwhile when it becomes part of a response workflow rather than a novelty. If you know why you need sound or light escalation, the spend is easy to defend.
Performance & Reliability
Siren is less about video quality and more about response quality. Its job is to make an event visible or audible quickly enough to matter, which is why volume, power method, and reliability matter more here than app polish.

Installation is mainly about placement and triggering logic. Once you have battery or DC input available, the bigger question is where the device will actually change behavior instead of just making noise or light somewhere nobody cares about.
