IT Alchemy is a smart home guidance resource operated by Steve (italchemail@gmail.com), an IT systems engineer based in the United States. This site is available at italchemy.tech.
What information we collect
We collect information in a few ways:
Contact and intake forms. When you submit a consulting intake form or contact form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, and details about your smart home setup. This information is processed through Formspree and used solely to respond to your inquiry or deliver consulting services.
Newsletter signup. If you subscribe to the IT Alchemy newsletter, your email address is collected and stored by Beehiiv, our newsletter platform. Beehiiv's privacy policy governs how they handle your data. We use your email to send the weekly IT Alchemy newsletter and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, time on site, referral sources, and similar aggregate metrics. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect your IP address. We do not use this data to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to consulting inquiries, deliver services you have purchased, send the newsletter you subscribed to, and improve the content and structure of this site. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
